Lower Body / Leg Day 8/10/2024
I always start a Saturday leg day with extra warmups: A set of leg extensions, a set of seated leg curls, 10 reps of RDL with just the bar, and a light set of seated calves raises. Then it is more warmups followed by working sets.
RDL: 135x5, 225 x4, 345 x4, 345 x4, 345 x4 (PR)
Front Squats: 95x5, 115x4, 150x4, 145 x4, 145 x4
Seated Calves:140 x15, 200 x6, 285x5, 285 x5, 285 x5 (PR)
These sets were doing in a giant set. I do RDL, then Front Squat, then seated calves .. rinse, and repeat
True Leg Ext: 260x6, 260x6, 260x6
Lying Leg Curl: 112.5 x6, 112.5 x5-, 112.5 x5-
LP Calves: 242 x10, 242 x6, 242 x10
The last exercise, second set was cut short .. didn’t have good foot position. Overall I am very happy with this workout. I had two PR’s. This felt great day. The front squats were a little short on depth for the start of the 2nd and 3rd set, so I have to do better. Progress over profection!
