Lower Body / Leg Day 2/15/2025

I was concerned about this workout. I donated blood yesterday and the last two times I have done that the workout the next morning was off. I too ½ packet of that prework I used last week and the workout was good. My energy levels did drop off near the end, but it was not bad.

I started with a set of light leg extensions, leg curls, leg press calf and bar only RDLs. Then I continued with warmups and hitting the heavy weights:

RDL: 135 x5, 245 x3, 340 x4, 340 x4 (+2)
Front Squats: 95x4, 115x3, 160 x3, 160 x3 (+2 but only 3 reps)
New LP Calf: +270 x6, +450 x4, +720 x5, +720 x5 (+2)

Single Leg Ext: 80 x6, 80 x6 (+2)
Lying Leg Curl: 120 x4-, 120 x4- (+0, darn)
LP Calf: 720 x6, 720 x7 (+2)

Hanging Leg Raise: 25# ball x20, 20, 20
Reverse Hyper 410 x13, 13, 13
Some hopping

I finished off with 8 sets of sprints using a 135 lbs sled and 12 minutes on the elliptical.

As I said, my energy levels were dropping off by the time I got to core work. I still finished strong, but I had to focus on my mental state to get it done.

My diet yesterday was not bad, but I ate a little extra to cover the blood donation. I had full fat yogurt and protein before early morning workout with a scoop of powdered MCT. Post workout I had 0.7 oz of bison liver, 0.8 oz of oysters, 1 can of sardines, 10 oz of ground bison / beef mix, a scoop of MCT, and 4 eggs. Meal 2 was 10 oz of ground bison / beef mix and 4 eggs. Meal 3 was a beef sirloin steak, a little sharp cheedar and 4 eggs. About 2 hours before bed I had more full fat yogurt, more sharp cheddar and protein.

The powdered MCT did not change anything. I was hoping it would digesst better than the oil, but I don't think so. I will go to one scoop prior to my workout going forward.

I walked 13,552 steps yesterday. My weight was 183.1 pounds and total fat was 16.5 pounds.
