It happened .. I was getting out of my car, and my iPhone slipped out of my hand and dropped onto the street. That freaked me out. Sure enough, it was cracked. But that is only the beginning the story ..

Some time ago, I was having problems with excessive scratching on my X screen. It took some time, but I was able to get  to replace my screen. I don’t know if I was the only person having the issue. I knew that I carried it in my pocket the same as how I carried around my iPhone 7, so I was frautrated. Once I got a new screen, how was I going to protect it?

I decided to try a tempered glass protector. I used one from Anker .. no reason other than I trusted the brand.

The photo to the right is what the screen protector looked like after I pulled it off my iPhone. The screen on the iPhone was undamaged .. I replaced the protector and life goes on.

So why tempered glass? I have some experience with tempered glass. We used to for a touch screen design that I was involved with in the past. It’s amazing, and really holds up. You can read more about the technology here. I am a believer!
