Lower Boday / Leg Day 8/27/2024
Today was deadlift day. Warmups moved well, and I was ready for a big weight. It didn’t turn out that way. Here is the workout:
Trap Bar DL:: 140x10, 230x4, 320x1, 375 x3, 375 x0, 330 x5
True Leg Ext: 40 x15, 85 x6, 175 x4, 275 x5-, 275 x5, 275 x5
Seated Calves:90 x20, 140x8, 200 x5, 295 x6, 295 x5, 295 x5
Smith Machine Squats (deep): 135 x4, 135 x4, 135 x4
Standing Single-Leg Curl: 65 x5-, 65 x5-, 65 x5-
LP Calves: 259 x13, 259 x13, 259 x13
Reverse Hyper 430 x10, 430 x11, 430 x11
Hanging leg lifts +20# x 8, +20# x9, +20# x9
This was not the workout I expected… the results were not a little off. I made positive progress, but the 1st set of deadlifts was a grinder and drained my energy levels. For the second set I could not complete even one rep. Given that, I lowered the weight for set 3 and went for more reps. The workout was good, but not great.
