Lower Body / Leg Day 8/22/2024
I was excited to get this workout in today. I felt very motivated and was ready for some heavy weights. Here is the results for today’s leg day:
Hack Squats: +0 x10, +140 x 4, +250 x4, +250 x4, +250 x4
Good Mornings: 90 x6, 135 x5, 195 x5, 195 x5, 195 x6
Seated Calves:140 x15,200x7, 290 x6, 290 x6, 290 x6
True Leg Ext: 270 x6, 270 x6, 270 x6-
True Seated Leg Curl: 175 x6, 175 x6, 175 x6
LP Calves: 254 x12, 254 x12, 254 x13
I finished up with 3 sets of hanging leg lift with a 14# ball between my feet, adductors and abductors. I have been using the full stack for the adductors and abductors but the reps have been too high so I worked to make the full stack mroe difficult by slowing the reps down and holding the peak. I am not sure I will keep this in my workout long term, but this helped.
The hack squats felt great. A few months ago I was at 275 but my depth was not where I wanted it. I lowered the weight significantly and started to add weight or reps. The move to 250 today with great depth felt super good. I want to get back to 270+!!
Overall good progress today. Felt good for the legs and I will be ready for the next leg day on Saturday.
